OBJECTIVES

Our annual update will provide delegates with a detailed review of the SRA Accounts Rules, which came into effect in November 2019, as well as examining all the latest guidance on the Rules themselves from the SRA and the work and role of the Reporting Accountant from the ICAEW.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

All partners and staff who have a reasonable knowledge of the rules and need to be confident they are fully up to date, recognise the problem areas for firms under these 'principles' based rules as well as the key risk areas for the reporting accountant.

  • Terms of engagement and SRA expectations
  • Impact of other areas of the SRA handbook on the accountant’s work
  • The most up to date guidance from the ICAEW and the SRA regarding
    • Risk areas
    • Serious breaches/reportable issues
  • Feedback on the latest reports.
